Ceiling Cassette Air Conditioners
A ceiling cassette mounts flush into a suspended or false ceiling, leaving only a discreet panel visible. Four-way airflow distributes conditioned air evenly across large or open-plan spaces, making cassettes the go-to choice for offices, shops and open-plan living areas.
Like a split system, a cassette pairs with an outdoor condenser and needs professional F-gas installation — Stockool will match you with a local engineer, and a ceiling void is required for the unit.

Ceiling Cassette Air Conditioners — frequently asked
Do I need a suspended ceiling for a cassette air conditioner?
Ideally yes. Cassettes are designed to sit flush in a suspended or false ceiling with enough void depth for the unit. If you don't have one, a small bulkhead can be built to house it — your matched installer can advise.
Are ceiling cassettes quiet?
Very. The noisy compressor is in the outdoor condenser, so the indoor cassette only contains the fan. This makes cassettes among the quietest fixed air conditioning options for occupied spaces.
What size room does one cassette cover?
A single cassette covers roughly 25 to 70 m² depending on its BTU rating. Use our BTU calculator to match the cassette capacity to your room size, or contact Stockool for a commercial sizing recommendation.
